My client is a growing Financial Services provider based in Birmingham. Due to the continued success of the business and subsequent growth of the Financial Crime function, they are currently recruiting for a Financial Crime Officer.
Reporting to the Financial Crime Manager you will lead the maintenance of effective systems and controls to reduce the risk of Financial Crime within the business. Your key responsibilities will include
- Create and update policies and procedures in line with the latest guidance (e.g. FCA, JLMSG, HMT) and industry wide publications on the prevention of financial crime in consultation with key areas of the business.
- Conduct regular FCA legislation and financial services industry analysis and research on the subject of financial crime prevention, and provide advice, guidance and recommended procedures for the benefit of management.
- Ensure that all guidance and sales documentation on the topic of preventing financial crime remain up to date and in line with FCA, JMLSG, NCA, SFO and HM Treasury guidance and legislative changes.
- Lead the investigations function, including contribute to investigations policy, recommend updates to the investigations process and maintain appropriate records.
You will be a Financial Crime professional with experience of working within a large Financial Services business. You have had exposure to both Compliance and Money Laundering, and an understanding of FCA handbook and JMLSG guidance documents.
